The plants of the scrubland and their virtues

A guid­ed hike along Mediter­ranean paths, with botan­i­cal and geo­log­i­cal infor­ma­tion to help you under­stand the for­ma­tion of the steep cliffs of the Calan­ques and dis­cov­er the scrub­land and fau­na of the Calan­ques Nation­al Park. Breath­tak­ing land­scapes and vis­tas with a per­ma­nent view of the deep blue.

Join us on a guid­ed walk along the side paths. Explore the gar­rigue (scrub­land) and its rugged ecosys­tem. In a warm and friend­ly atmos­phere, dis­cov­er the heal­ing virtues of Mediter­ranean plants.

Program

5 pos­si­ble routes in the Calan­ques area and Estaque moun­tain range :

  • Calanque of Sormiou
  • Calanque of Sugi­ton
  • Calanque of Mar­seilleveyre
  • Frioul Islands (Raton­neau island)
  • Blue Coast

We’ll reach an ini­tial view­point, before descend­ing into the deep calanque to a cove. Pic­nic break on the beach. Swim­ming pos­si­ble if the sea­son is suit­able.
From here, you’ll fol­low sign­post­ed paths through the gar­rigue (scrub­land), vis­it­ing sea caves with spec­tac­u­lar seabeds, breath­tak­ing panora­mas and view­points with 360-degree views!

Wind­ing sec­tions along the pass­es are fol­lowed by a walk on the ridges with panoram­ic views of the arch­i­pel­a­gos or the har­bour of Mar­seille.
