A journey through lavender
at the Les Grandes Marges estate
A pastoral walk along paths bordering fields of lavender, olive trees and almond trees bearing sweet summer fruit, with an infinite view of fields, forests and the Alps.
A visual masterpiece: the ochre of the land contrasts with the purity of the blue sky, the grey-white of the Luberon limestone cliffs and the green of the mountains in the background. These idyllic landscapes inspired many painters, including the legendary Vincent Van Gogh in Arles.
Program
Discover the history of the estate and the know-how of organic and sustainable agriculture during a walk led by your guide, and be joined (if your lucky) with a surprise visit by the farmer-agronomist in charge of the estate.
Discover how the fruit trees grow, savour the fragrance of the aromatic plants and learn how to recognize them.
Learn how plants are distilled and transformed into essential oils… Discover generations of knowledge!
